Based in London, Tim Spooner is a performance and a visual artist. His work uses materials and objects in ways that reveal unexpected properties, aiming to open up perspectives beyond the human scale. Since 2010, Tim has created a series of increasingly complex live works trying to reveal “life” in material. Tim’s work has been presented extensively in the UK (Battersea Arts Centre, Cambridge Junc...tion, Mayfest Bristol, MAC Belfast), in France (TJP Strasbourg, Festival Actoral), Germany (Erlangen Festival), in China... Recent projects include The Telescope (2010) which uses a microscope camera to reveal a universe of miniature objects manipulated using magnets, electricity and chemical reactions ; The Assembly of Animals, made for young audiences and concerned with the abstraction of an animal form (2014) ; The Voice of Nature (2016), an interconnected system of fragile sculptures.
