Col 1

Mark 16:1And when the sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, so that they might go to anoint
him. 2 And very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. 3 And they had been saying to one another, “Who
will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” 4 and looking up, they saw that the stone, had already been rolled back, for it was very large.
5 And as they entered the tomb, they saw a young man, dressed in a white robe, sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed. 6 But he said
to them, “Do not be alarmed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He was raised; he is not here. Behold the place where he was laid down. 7 But go,
tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee. Tere you will see him as he told you.” 8 And they went
out and fled from the tomb, for terror and amazement had seized them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. The end of [matins reading] 2
commentaryThe women did not comprehend the greatness or dignity fit to Jesus’ divinity, while sitting by the tomb. And they bought myrrh
to anoint the body, according to the customs of the Jews, to remain fragrant, to keep off the foul smell of decay. At the same time, myrrh
has the ability of drying, by absorbing the moisture of the body and keeping it from decay. And very early, according to the great
Matthew, after the Sabbath, or according to Luke, at early dawn, saying, on the first day of the Sabbath. That is, the first day of the week.
for the [whole of] the week days were called “sabbath.” Rising on the first day, they came to the tomb, enquiring,
who will roll the stone away. While the women were saying that, an angel rolled the stone away with them noticing. Further,
Matthew says, the angel rolled the stone away after the coming of the women. Thus, Mark omitted that which was said,
by Matthew, regarding who rolled the stone away. Do not be troubled by [the fact that] Matthew says that the angle was sitting on the stone, while Mark
[says that] when the women entered the tomb they saw the angel sitting inside. It is possible that they saw [him] outside,
sitting, as Matthew says, on the stone. They then saw him again inside the tomb, going ahead of the women and entering. Some
say, however, the women [mentioned] by Matthew, are [not the same] ones according to Mark. The Magdalene, however, followed
all of them, being fervent and kindled with zeal. The angel who appeared then said to the women: “do not be afraid.”
For he first frees them from fear, then he preaches them with the good news of the resurrection. Thus, he calls him “the crucified,” for he is not
ashamed of the cross. For he is the salvation of humankind, and the head of everything good. He was raised, he is not here. And do you want
to believe? Behold the place where they laid him down. For this he moved the stone away, in order to show them the tomb. “But go,”
